I'm Pretty Awkward

Now, if it wasn't obvious, I am a huge introvert, I tend to embarrass myself a lot (at least I think I embarrass myself). So, I'm going to tell you the story of my awkward encounter in Barnes and Nobles. This is just going to be a quick story, but I think it's kind of funny.

So, I go to Barnes and Nobles around at least twice a month and I would say I know the layout extremely well, like I would gladly be an employee there. Except, lately, my Barnes and Nobles has been making a couple changes to the layout, where they moved the YA section to be closer to Starbucks instead of behind the Customer Service desk. Well, on this particular day, I wanted to buy the book To All the Boys I've Loved Before, and I remember that the YA Romance section is always on the right side of the shelves they use. So, I'm walking through the aisles specifically looking on the right side, (side note: I'm not physically going down these aisles, I'm walking past them and glancing only to the right side) and I go down the aisle that I know the YA Romance section is usually in. This is the time I realize that the romance section is not there, so I think to myself, I probably just counted wrong and it's in the next aisle. I got to the next aisle and I see this girl (probably an 8th grader or almost 9th grader) down this aisle and I'm thinking that it's fine because she's looking at books, so I check the right side and it turns out that they must've switched everything (AGAIN!) because I'm suddenly looking at Young Readers books. I realize that I made a mistake, but instead of turning around and walking into the other aisle, I literally walk backwards out of this aisle while this girl is staring at me just causally walk out. Yeah, because I'm not awkward at all, I just can't handle situations like that like a normal person.

Let me know how you liked this story and would you like more of my weird stories? (Trust me, I have a lot of them)
