We all have opinions, whether it's about colors, books, movies, songs, and more. Except, not everyone can agree with what we think is nice or what we think isn't. So, I'm going to be explaining some of my opinions that not that many people probably agree with. This is going to be number one, because I bet there will be so many more to come! I'm just going to be focusing on books/series for this post.
1. A Court of Thrones and Roses
I've seen many people rave about this book because Sarah J Maas is a great author, I have read most of the Throne of Glass series and I absolutely love it! However, when I read ACOTAR, I wasn't impressed... The story seemed to drag on and become slightly boring the more I got into the book. It is definitely on my to-read list because I want to see if my opinion has changed from when I first read the book to now.
2. The Darkest Minds
I know the movie just came out for this book, but I personally didn't pick up this book because of the movie coming out, I picked up this book because I thought the story was interesting. To my dismay, I thought this book didn't have a clear storyline or plot, The Darkest Minds is my second book that I have read by Alexandra Bracken and I personally am not the hugest fan of her writing style.
3. Divergent
To be honest, I was a fan of this series before. I used to be a die-hard fan, but from rereading the books so much, I personally hated the storyline of this book series! I liked the idea of this different world, but once you get to Insurgent, the books just started to get boring and seemed a little bit forced in the continue of it.
4. 13 Reasons Why
This book got so hyped when the Netflix series came out. I read this book before the series came out and I absolutely loved it! It was the first book I ever read that surrounded the topic of suicide and I loved how it was different in the YA community at the time. However, as I started to read more books that surrounded this serious topic, I instantly became mad at how it was portrayed in 13 Reasons Why. It seemed as though they glorified suicide, and this just made me so mad, especially as the series was getting all this hype on how good it is! I even gave away my copy because of how distressed I got over the hype around this book.
5. I'll Give You the Sun
Now, I wouldn't say this book is really hyped up or a lot of people are talking about it. However, whenever I see this book in posts or on YouTube, I find that everyone really enjoys the story. I found the story was hard to follow because one twin is telling the past and the other is telling the future. Once I could follow what was going on, I started to get bored of this book so easily! It just didn't seem worth it to finish it and I unfortunately ended up DNFing this book.
Tell me your unpopular opinions!
